Rapinoe was the one who scored two goals for the United States in the 4-3 victory over Australia during the bronze Olympic medal game at Tokyo in 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic which Japan was forced to postpone until 2021 because of the pandemic won the gold in Tokyo in 2016.
